Join Our Dynamic Mental Health Clinic Dedicated to the Latinx Community! We provide culturally sensitive therapy services in English and Spanish, offering virtual and in-office sessions for children, individuals, couples, and families throughout Illinois. Our specialized team is committed to addressing the unique mental health needs of the Latinx community, tackling issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction, while actively working to overcome challenges like language barriers and discrimination. Our graduate internship program features sliding scale and pro bono therapy groups, along with essential immigration evaluations (VAWA, Hardship Waivers, U-Visa, T-Visa, Asylum, and DACA). Position Overview: The two main facets of the Licensed Clinical Training Supervisor include developing and executing ongoing clinical training for the clinical team and serving as a senior clinical supervisor for pre-licensed clinicians. The Licensed Clinical Training Supervisor works closely with the Clinical Director and will provide leadership & oversee the effective application of client mental health assessment, psychotherapy services, clinical conceptualization, family intervention/ education, & client treatment planning. The Clinical Training Supervisor will be trained in providing forensic evaluations & writing immigration affidavits for clients applicable for VAWA, DACA, U VISA, TVISA, Asylum, & Hardship.

Clinical Training Development

1. Curriculum Development:

  • Design and execute structured training programs tailored to the needs of the clinical team.
  • Create learning objectives and outcomes for each training module or session.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practices and the latest research findings into training content.

2. Resource Development:

  • Compile and create resources such as manuals, case studies, and supplementary materials for training purposes.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts and senior clinicians to gather insights and best practices.

3. Training Implementation:

  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions or workshops for the clinical team.
  • Utilize various teaching methodologies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and assessment tools.

4. Continuing Education:

  • Stay updated with advancements in psychotherapy, Latinx Mental Health, and related fields.
  • Organize opportunities for ongoing professional development for clinicians.
  • Encourage participation in conferences, webinars, and workshops to enhance clinical skills.
Clinical Supervision:

1. Clinical Supervision:

  • Provide one-on-one and group supervision sessions to pre-licensed clinicians, focusing on their clinical cases and professional development.
  • Offer constructive feedback and guidance to enhance clinical skills and therapeutic techniques.
  • Provide feedback on the quality of clinical therapy notes to pre-licensed clinicians, ensuring sound and effective clinical case conceptualization and treatment planning
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards and legal regulations in clinical practice.

2. Clinical Case Consultation:

  • Facilitate monthly clinical case consult meetings to discuss complex cases, clinical challenges, and ethical dilemmas.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where clinicians can share insights and support each other.
  • Encourage professional growth and peer learning among team members. Oversee leadership development in the clinical team.
  • Conduct case consultations to assist clinicians in developing effective treatment plans and interventions.
  • Provide insights into diagnostic considerations, treatment modalities, and progress monitoring.
  • Address clinical concerns and challenges through a collaborative problem-solving approach.

3. Performance Evaluation:

  • Evaluate clinicians’ performance based on clinical competencies, adherence to protocols, and client outcomes.
  • Provide formal feedback and performance reviews to support professional growth and improvement.
  • Identify training needs and recommend further development opportunities for individual clinicians.
Administrative Responsibilities:

1. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of supervision sessions, training activities, and professional development plans.
  • Prepare reports on training outcomes, clinician progress, and compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations in handling sensitive information.

2. Policy Development:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, professional standards, and legal regulations.
  • Advocate for a supportive and inclusive practice environment that values diversity and cultural sensitivity.

3. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to align training and supervision practices with organizational goals.
  • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary discussions to enhance team cohesion and communication.

Other Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to uphold the established values and goals of the organization.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide weekly supervision to clinical interns & pre-licensed supervisees & support them in case of conceptualization, documenting proper assessments, treatment plans, notes on EHR, clinical resources & recommendations, & referrals.
  • Meet with supervisees to staff cases and approve the discharge of clients.
  • Consult as needed with fully licensed therapists.
  • Oversee therapy group creation.
  • Ensure treatment notes, goals, diagnoses, & treatment plans are current to ensure proper documentation & billing.
  • Follow IDFPR guidelines for supervision requirements & maintain clinical supervisor training requirements for licensure.
  • Engage in solution-focused efforts for staff demonstrating performance issues & assist in creating performance plans.
  • Lead monthly staff meetings as needed with any updates related to policies, procedures, & announcements.
  • Communicate & collaborate with consultants to set up the talks for the team as needed.
  • Conduct two presentations yearly for the clinical team (e.g., Using screenings, treatment planning, Mindfulness, etc.).
  • Assist in clinical interviewing.
  • Assist in clinician onboarding.
  • Timely response to email communication within 24 business hours.

 

$80- 95K per year based on experience.

This position is for full-time employment

 

This position is 40 hours a week in-office. Monday through Friday, including at least three evenings per week (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM).

  • Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or marriage & family. A copy must be provided to Latinx Talk Therapy.
  • Active, unrestricted license (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC) in the State of Illinois
  • Must reside & be licensed in Illinois.
  • Experience in Latinx Mental Health and Treatment
  • Extensive Clinical Experience: Demonstrated expertise in providing psychotherapy across diverse populations and presenting problems.
  • Leadership Experience: Able to guide the team, make informed decisions, resolve conflicts, manage changes, communicate effectively, inspire staff, and uphold professional standards and accountability.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to supervise and mentor clinicians in a private practice setting.
  • Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of emerging trends in psychotherapy.
  • Spanish fluency is required.

Latinx Talk Therapy is a counseling specialty group made up of professionals working to enhance the mental well-being of the Latinx community in Illinois. Bilingual Psychotherapist Interns will provide outpatient individual, and/or family therapy to clients at Latinx Talk Therapy in our Millennium Park Plaza location on Michigan Avenue. Clinical therapy services are in Spanish and English and provided virtually and in-person and include treatment of adults, adolescents, and families.

Clinical Supervisor

Latinx Talk Therapy will work with the student’s university to meet the requirements. On average, interns conduct weekly therapy hours including groups and individual sessions. Work hours and schedule may vary depending on the client and Latinx Talk Therapy needs. Hours include some evenings and/or weekends. Bilingual Psychotherapist Interns will be required to meet with a minimum of 10-15 clients or sessions per week. Sessions are available and referred/scheduled and held in the offices of Latinx Talk Therapy or virtually.

Our internship is one year and flexible.

Work hours and schedule may vary depending on the client and Latinx Talk Therapy needs. Hours include some evenings and/or weekends.

  • Perform virtual and on-site clinical counseling services to clients of Latinx Talk Therapy, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies. Currently, all sessions are virtual.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work are required.
  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Latinx Talk Therapy.
  • Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc., or through the Latinx Talk Therapy website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.
  • Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
  • Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, immigration affidavits, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time to time by Latinx Talk Therapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion. Keep client files accurate and up to date.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Latinx Talk Therapy.
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in Spanish/ English in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Latinx Talk Therapy. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Latinx Talk Therapy.

Latinx Talk Therapy is a mental health clinic made up of bilingual Latinx professionals working to enhance the psychological well-being of the Latinx community in Illinois. We value clinical excellence, professional growth, and a celebration of Latinx culture. 

We are looking for a master’s level licensed therapist to provide mental health services to clients at Latinx Talk Therapy. The therapist will provide outpatient clinical therapy services for the treatment of youth, adults, families, and/or couples. Therapists will receive training in conducting forensic evaluations and writing immigration affidavits for VAWA, DACA, UVISA, TVISA, Asylum, and Hardship. 

  1. Perform clinical therapy services to clients of Latinx Talk Therapy, as scheduled, per company policies.
  2. Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work are required.
  3. Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Latinx Talk Therapy.
  4. Respond to clients’ requests within 24 hours, whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc.
  5. Respond to Latinx Talk Therapy team emails within 24 hours.
  6. Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
  7. Complete progress notes within 24 hours from the time of service. Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, immigration affidavits, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time to time by Latinx Talk Therapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion. Keep client files accurate and up to date.
  8. Attend mandatory staff meetings, group case conceptualization, and training as directed by Latinx Talk Therapy.
  9. Complete intake assessments which include documentation such as Mental Status Exams, Biopsychosocial, etc.
  10. Effectively create and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
  11. Complete timesheet within 24 hours reflecting the hours worked.
  12. Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment.
  13. Other duties may be assigned by Latinx Talk Therapy.

$70 – 82K per year based on experience. 

This position is for Hybrid full-time employment of 25 client sessions per week. Hours include at least 3 evenings and 1 weekend dependent on client requests.

  1. Master’s Degree in counseling /social work /marriage and family. A copy must be provided to Latinx Talk Therapy.
  2. Must reside and hold an active license (LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC) in the State of Illinois. Available to hold 25 client sessions per week.
  3. Full Professional Proficiency in the Spanish language. Must be able to provide therapeutic services in Spanish.

Other Benefits + Incentives

Full-time employees are eligible for Immigration Evaluation Training.
All employees will be compensated for writing blogs and recording 1-minute videos.
Full-time employees who are provisionally licensed will have the option of receiving weekly clinical supervision toward their IDFPR license requirements.
All employees are compensated for the completion of their orientation training and participation in quarterly staff meetings and monthly clinical case consultations. Consultations will cover clinical work, case presentations, peer feedback, and discussion of various topics relating to private practice work. Topics will focus on using evidence-based practices and clinical application within the Latinx population. Training and clinical consultation are intended to help foster clinical professional growth and support the training and clinical practice of our clinicians.
All employees will be onboarded by a Clinical Supervisor for the first 90 days of employment to ensure they feel confident and supported as they build a caseload and become adjusted to the practice.
Therapists can choose to work in the office, virtually, or both! Therapists set their own schedule, but we require that they have availability for a minimum of two evenings. Latinx Talk Therapy will fill up the client caseload of any therapist who has good retention.
Therapists are allocated funds to support CEUs, continuing education, and special requests. The Clinical Director will also meet with therapists annually to help support them in developing Professional Growth Plans to track and develop their professional goals.
We encourage therapists to team up and come up with creative therapy group ideas.
Therapists are allocated funds to support public community engagement and external presentations based on budget availability.
Latinx Talk Therapy hosts at least 2 company-sponsored events for our staff annually. Examples of previous outings include picnics, dinners, paint and sip classes, Latin dancing classes, and more. We also have a Facebook group page to promote team engagement and share updates, pictures, fun facts, and resources with all of the staff.
