I Support the Latinx Community Through Culturally-Informed Mental Health Care

Learn About Me and How I Can Help

Aneli Unzueta, Intern

Bilingual Psychotherapist

Hi, I’m Aneli, a bilingual psychotherapist at Latinx Talk Therapy. What excites me about therapy is witnessing the transformative power it can have on my clients’ lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to see clients gain insight, develop coping skills, and make positive changes that improve their quality of life. Growing up in a Latinx community, I saw firsthand the stigma surrounding mental health and the lack of accessible resources, which ignited my passion for advocating for mental health awareness. Now, I’m dedicated to supporting you on your journey to healing and growth.
As a therapist, I believe that change is a collaborative process between us, rooted in trust, empathy, and mutual respect. My approach is culturally sensitive, and I focus on issues like acculturation, identity development, and family dynamics. Whether you are navigating trauma, conflict, grief, or loss, I am here to help you gain insight and self-awareness, empowering you to make positive changes in your life. Together, we’ll create a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

You Don’t Have to Face Your Struggles Alone, I Am Here to Help

You don’t have to go through life’s challenges by yourself. My work with diverse individuals and families has shown me the impact anxiety, depression, and trauma can have on a person’s emotional well-being. I’ve helped clients manage feelings of overwhelm, stress, and loneliness, and I’m here to help you do the same. I understand the process of healing can take time, but together we can work toward your success and well-being.

Get to Know A Little Bit More About Me

I was born and raised in Chicago in a Mexican household as the eldest daughter of an immigrant parent. As a first-generation college student, I began my academic journey at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning my Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies. I’m currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Couple & Family Therapy at Adler University. Alongside my internship, I also work as a youth care worker with adolescents and families. I love helping members of the Latinx community overcome mental obstacles and reach their dreams.

My Specialties
