Creating space for healing, self-love, and authentic connection while honoring each client's culture, identity, and story.

Bilingual Psychotherapist Intern

Kyra De Castro | MFT Intern

Kyra De Castro is a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive therapist who creates a safe, welcoming space where clients can feel seen, heard, and understood. As a Filipina woman of color, Kyra brings a deep appreciation for the ways culture, identity, family, and relationships shape how people understand themselves and navigate the world.

Her approach to therapy is collaborative, gentle, and goal-oriented. Kyra believes clients are the experts of their own lives and works alongside them with curiosity, empathy, and cultural humility. She helps clients explore the stories and beliefs they carry about themselves and their relationships while identifying their strengths, values, and opportunities for meaningful growth.

Drawing from Collaborative and Narrative Therapy, strengths-based and empowerment approaches, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and other integrative modalities, Kyra supports clients navigating anxiety, family conflict, identity struggles, self-esteem, body image and eating concerns, and generational or intergenerational trauma. She is especially passionate about working with couples, young adults, parent-and-child duos, and clients of color.

At the heart of Kyra’s work is the belief that healing does not require anyone to earn love, connection, or acceptance. She hopes clients leave therapy feeling more connected to themselves and the people around them, empowered to recognize their strengths, and confident in making choices that align with their values. Her goal is to create a space where clients can explore their identities, relationships, and experiences without shame or judgment while stepping into more authentic versions of themselves.

"Your culture, your relationships, and your story all have a place in the healing process."
