Bilingual Psychotherapist
Crystal Gonzalez is a bilingual therapist passionate about supporting individuals through healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. As a proud Mexican therapist, she is committed to helping bridge the gap between mental health services and the Latinx community, especially for those who may face barriers to care.
Crystal creates a supportive and comfortable space where clients can openly explore their emotions, life experiences, and identity without judgment. Her approach combines Narrative Therapy, CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, DBT, and strengths-based techniques to help clients better understand themselves and build healthier coping tools.
She is especially passionate about working with teens, young adults, first-generation students, bicultural individuals, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Crystal commonly supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, family conflict, self-esteem, identity struggles, burnout, and generational trauma.
At the core of her work is compassion, cultural understanding, and empowering clients to feel more connected, resilient, and confident in their healing journey.
"I want to be the therapist who helps clients feel safe enough to speak freely, without fear of being misunderstood or having to translate their experience."
We know Latinx mental health is shaped by more than stress. Things like language, family loyalty, shame and gender roles al impact how we carry and express pain. You don’t have to translate your story here-we get it.
Crystal offers culturally responsive therapy specializing in Latinx family dynamics, first-generation stress, identity, and intergenerational trauma. She integrates DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, using a strength-based, empowerment approach focused on trust, connection, and curiosity.
You don’t have to keep carrying the pressure alone. Whether you’re in Chicago or anywhere in Illinois, Crystal is here to help you move forward with compassion and clarity.
