Supporting Latinx parents and first-gen clients through family stress, transitions, and healing that honors cultura.

Bilingual Psychotherapist Intern

Marelin Enriquez-Paloalto | Intern

Marelin Nayeli Enriquez-Paloalto is a bilingual psychotherapist intern offering virtual therapy across Illinois. As a first-generation Mexican-American and the daughter of a mixed-status family, Marelin understands what it’s like to carry heavy emotions in silence. She grew up seeing how fear and sacrifice shaped her family’s life, and how rarely those feelings were talked about. That awareness inspired her to become a therapist who makes space for healing before the overwhelm takes over.

Her therapy style is calm, collaborative, and centered on your strengths. Marelin helps clients reconnect with their voice, their values, and the parts of themselves they may have learned to hide. She blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to support people navigating family dynamics, parenting stress, and life transitions.

Clients describe her as gentle, relatable, and present. Whether you’re working through self-doubt, feeling pressure to be everything for everyone, or simply want to feel more at peace, Marelin is there with encouragement, curiosity, and care. Outside of therapy, she finds joy in scrapbooking, trying new recipes, and spending time at the gym. People are often surprised by her tattoos, but to Marelin, they’re part of her story, just like yours is part of your strength.

"You don’t have to earn rest or healing. You’re already worthy of both"
