Bilingual Psychotherapist Intern
Jadhai Vazquez is a bilingual psychotherapist intern offering in-person and virtual therapy across Illinois. As a first-generation Mexican-American, Jadhai knows what it’s like to juggle expectations. Being the bridge for your family, translating everything (including emotions), and figuring out who you are along the way. Her own therapy journey showed her that healing doesn’t require perfection. It begins by being seen exactly as you are.
Her therapy style is warm, collaborative, and affirming. Jadhai brings a calm presence and meets clients with compassion, curiosity, and care. She combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with narrative work to help clients reframe unhelpful patterns and rewrite the stories they’ve carried. Clients often say her sessions feel like a soft place to land, especially for those who are used to holding it all together.
Jadhai works especially well with first-gen clients and young professionals who are trying to make space for themselves while honoring where they come from. She values laughter, reflection, and making therapy feel approachable and even enjoyable. Outside of sessions, she loves being outdoors, going on walks, running, and trying new foods with her family.
Therapy with Jadhai is about reconnecting with your voice and remembering that you don’t have to do it all alone.
"You’ve carried so much for others. Therapy is your space to finally be held"
We know Latinx mental health is shaped by more than stress. Things like language, family loyalty, shame and gender roles al impact how we carry and express pain. You don’t have to translate your story here-we get it.
Jadhai supports Latinx clients navigating anxiety, identity, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Her approach blends CBT, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care with a culturally responsive foundation.
You don’t have to keep it all together. Whether you’re in Chicago or anywhere in Illinois, Jadhai is here to support you with empathy, humor, and heart.
