Centering healing for Latinx clients navigating identity, anxiety, and family expectations.

Bilingual Psychotherapist

Angela Drexler | LSW

Angela Drexler, LSW, is a bilingual psychotherapist offering in-person and virtual therapy across Illinois. As a first-generation Latina of Salvadoran Indigenous and European heritage, Angela understands what it feels like to live between cultures and to sometimes wonder if you truly belong.

Angela’s therapeutic style is warm, flexible, and deeply human. She believes therapy should meet you where you are, without judgment or pressure. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, or the weight of family expectations, Angela creates a space where clients feel safe enough to explore both their struggles and their strengths.

She connects deeply with teenagers and younger parents who are balancing multiple roles and silent struggles. Her work draws from culturally responsive and narrative therapy, helping clients unpack their stories and build new paths forward.

Angela knows the courage it takes to seek help, especially in communities where mental health isn’t often discussed. She wants her clients to know they don’t have to be “broken” to deserve support.

Outside of therapy, Angela finds joy in making jewelry, watching reality TV, and discovering hidden gems at thrift stores.

"Therapy isn’t just for when you’re broken. It’s a place to feel seen, heard, and supported."

Healing the Latinx Experience

We know Latinx mental health is shaped by more than stress. Things like language, family loyalty, shame and gender roles al impact how we carry and express pain. You don’t have to translate your story here-we get it.
