Bilingual Psychotherapist Intern
Aneli Unzueta is a bilingual psychotherapist intern offering in-person and virtual therapy across Illinois. As a proud Chicana and first-generation college graduate, Aneli is passionate about helping Latinx clients unlearn the idea that they have to be “perfect” to be worthy of support. She creates a space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and begin healing on their own terms.
Aneli’s approach is warm, curious, and collaborative. Whether you’re navigating relationship stress, family dynamics, or grief, she honors the full complexity of your experience — including cultural identity, spirituality, and generational expectations. Her use of Narrative and Collaborative Therapy empowers clients to re-author the stories they’ve been told about who they are and what they’re allowed to feel.
"Therapy doesn’t mean something is wrong with you — it’s a space to feel seen, heard, and supported."
We know Latinx mental health is shaped by more than stress. Things like language, family loyalty, shame and gender roles al impact how we carry and express pain. You don’t have to translate your story here-we get it.
Aneli supports Latinx adults, couples, and families navigating grief, identity, and relationship dynamics. Her therapy is rooted in cultural responsiveness and Narrative Therapy, with a focus on connection, curiosity, and collaborative growth.
You don’t have to keep carrying the pressure alone. Whether you’re in Chicago or anywhere in Illinois, Aneli is here to help you move forward with compassion and clarity.
