Lilliam Luna, LCSW
Bilingual Psychotherapist
Hello, my name is Lilliam Luna, and I’m a bilingual psychotherapist at Latinx Talk Therapy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My role as a therapist is to help clients in their healing journey and address any barriers to their wellness. As a Latinx individual, I understand the cultural complexities and generational traumas that affect mental health and the importance of working through them. I utilize various theoretical frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Strengths-Based Approach.
You Don’t Have to Face Your Struggles Alone, I Am Here to Help
In my past professional experiences, I have worked with individuals from all walks of life on different stages of their mental health journeys. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults working through their trauma, depression, anxiety, and other hardships and stressors. I have witnessed individuals learn to cope effectively, set healthy goals, and grow during therapy.
- I meet with clients virtually.
Get to Know A Little Bit More About Me
I was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and raised in Hayward, California. I have lived in Chicago since 2016 and earned a Masters’s in Social work from Loyola University Chicago with a specialization in mental health. I began my clinical career with high school students on the south and west sides of Chicago and Spanish-speaking families in a clinic-based setting. I am passionate and motivated about helping break the stigma of mental health and therapy within the Latinx community.
Outside of the therapeutic space, my self-care hobbies include spending time with my dog Huey, reading, traveling, and doing yoga.
My Specialties
I use evidence-based practices to work with individuals- adults, children, and adolescents living with depression, anxiety, cultural identity, and other life stressors.
