Job Description:
Latinx Talk Therapy is a mental health clinic made up of bilingual Latinx professionals working to enhance the psychological well-being of the Latinx community in Illinois. We value clinical excellence, professional growth, and a celebration of latinx culture.

We are looking for a master’s level Clinical Supervisor, to guide & develop our clinical staff. The Clinical Supervisor will provide leadership & oversee the effective application of client mental health assessment, psychotherapy services, clinical conceptualization, family intervention/ education, & client treatment planning. The Clinical Supervisor will be trained in providing forensic evaluations & writing immigration affidavits for clients applicable for VAWA, DACA, UVISA, TVISA, Asylum, & Hardship.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Provide weekly supervision to clinical interns &  pre-licensed supervisees & support them in case of conceptualization, documenting proper assessments, treatment plans, notes on EHR, clinical resources & recommendations, & referrals.
  2. Meet with supervisees to staff cases/ approve the discharge of clients.
  3. Consult as needed with fully-licensed therapists.
  4. Oversee therapy group creation.
  5. Provide evaluation of performance annually for each therapist.
  6. Ensure treatment notes, goals, diagnoses, & treatment plans are current to ensure proper documentation & billing.
  7. Follow IDFPR guidelines for supervision requirements & maintain clinical supervisor training requirements for licensure.
  8. Carry a therapy caseload of 20 clients. Assess, diagnose, & treat a variety of mental health conditions through individual, couples, family, & group therapy that is evidence-based & clinically appropriate.
  9. Engage in solution-focused efforts for staff demonstrating performance issues & assist in creating performance plans.
  10. Lead monthly staff meetings as needed with any updates related to policies, procedures, & announcements.
  11. Communicate & collaborate with consultants to set up the talks for the team as needed.
  12. Conduct two presentations yearly for the clinical team (ex. Using screenings/ treatment planning/ Mindfulness etc.).
  13. Lead monthly case consultation clinical team meetings & facilitate case presentations & training.

Compensation:

$78- 85K per year based on experience

Hours:

This position is for full-time employment at 30 hours per week, including 20 direct therapy & administrative supervisor work.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  1. Master’s Degree in counseling /social work /marriage & family. A copy must be provided to Latinx Talk Therapy.
  2. Active, unrestricted license (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC) in the State of Illinois
  3. Full professional proficiency in the Spanish language. Must be able to provide therapeutic services in Spanish.
  4. Must reside & be licensed in Illinois.
  5. Available to hold a therapy caseload of 20 clients weekly.

Full-time employees will be compensated for writing blogs & recording videos.

Onboarding Support
Full-time employees will be onboarded by a Clinical Supervisor for the first 90 days of employment to ensure they feel confident & supported as they build a caseload & get adjusted to the practice.

Flexible Schedule
Full-time employees can choose to work in the office, virtually, or both! Therapist set their own schedule & we require that they have availability for a minimum of two evenings. Latinx Talk Therapy will fill up the client caseload of any therapist that has good retention.

Continuing Professional Education (Training)
Full-time employees are provided financial support for CEUs, continuing education, professional growth, & special requests based on annual budget availability. Our Clinical Director will also meet annually with therapists to help support them in developing Professional Growth Plans to track & develop their professional goals.

Public Speaking Engagements
Full-time employees are provided financial support for public community engagement & external presentations based on budget availability.

Culture Building

Job Description:

Bilingual Psychotherapist Interns will provide outpatient individual, and/or family therapy to clients at Latinx Talk Therapy in our Millennium Park Plaza location on Michigan Avenue. Clinical therapy services are in Spanish and English and provided virtually and in-person and include treatment of adults, adolescents, and families.

Reports to:
Clinical Supervisor

Internship Requirements:
Latinx Talk Therapy will work with the student’s university to meet the requirements. On average, interns conduct weekly therapy hours including groups and individual sessions. Work hours and schedule may vary depending on the client and Latinx Talk Therapy needs. Hours include some evenings and/or weekends. Bilingual Psychotherapist Interns will be required to meet with a minimum of 10-15 clients or sessions per week. Sessions are available and referred/scheduled and held in the offices of Latinx Talk Therapy or virtually.

Our internship is one year and flexible.

  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work are required.
  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Latinx Talk Therapy.
  • Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc., or through the Latinx Talk Therapy website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.
  • Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
  • Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, immigration affidavits, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time to time by Latinx Talk Therapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion. Keep client files accurate and up to date.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Latinx Talk Therapy.
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in Spanish/ English in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Latinx Talk Therapy. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.

The job position is remote with the option of also working in the Millennium Park office. The master’s level therapist will provide outpatient clinical therapy services to the treatment of youth, adults, families, and/or couples. Therapists will receive training in providing forensic evaluations and writing immigration affidavits for clients applicable for VAWA, DACA, UVISA, TVISA, Asylum, and Hardship. Full-time therapists are required to carry a therapy caseload of 25 clients weekly.

Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, immigration affidavits, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time to time by Latinx Talk Therapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion. Keep client files accurate and up to date.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Latinx Talk Therapy.
  • Complete intake assessments which include documentation such as Mental Status Exams, Biopsychosocial, etc.
  • Effectively create and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
  • Communicate with referral sources as well as Primary Care Physicians after initial intake as well as every 90 days as required by insurance.
  • Complete timesheet within 24 hours reflecting the billable hours worked.
  • Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment.
  • Other duties may be assigned by Latinx Talk Therapy.

Compensation:

$65 – 76K + per year based on experience

Hours:

Full-time employment of 25 client sessions per week. Hours include some evenings and/or weekends.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in counseling /social work /marriage and family. A copy must be provided to Latinx Talk Therapy.
  • Active license (LPC, LSW, A-MFT, LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC) in the State of Illinois. Available to hold at least 25 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled.
  • Full Professional Proficiency in the Spanish language. Must be able to provide therapeutic services in Spanish.
