Learn About Me and How I Can Help
Jessica Morales, LPC
Hello, my name is Jessica Morales and I’m a bilingual psychotherapist here at Latinx Talk Therapy. I believe in the power of culturally-informed treatments in the context of a supportive, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. I value each person’s distinct experiences and goals, working collaboratively to create a path towards growth and healing. I take a strength-based approach when helping Latinx clients move towards their desired lifestyles. My theoretical approach is psychodynamic and includes mindfulness skills and family systems thinking-including genogram plotting.
As a Latinx individual myself, I understand the inner battles this community faces when it comes to their mental and emotional wellbeing. Helping you heal and move past your suffering is what my therapy approach is dedicated to. I believe that by consistently working towards betterness, you will be able to place your anxiety, depression, and trauma in the past and look forward to a life of growth, courage, confidence, and success.
Seeing you enjoy a life filled with positive energy and optimistic outlooks is what pushes me to help you achieve your personal and professional aspirations.

Get to Know A Little Bit More About Me
I am a Chicago-born native Spanish-speaker and I grew up in a Mexican household. As a first-generation college student, I started my academic career at Roosevelt University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in child and family studies. I then went on to pursue my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Northwestern University. A bulk of my academic research focused on acculturation concerns, the importance of native language in therapy, as well as the mental health implications of having “undocumented status” in the United States. My training focus has been working with Hispanic families, adolescents, and adult individuals.
I find passion and happiness in helping native and ethnic Latinx members in moving past the sentiments and mental strains that keep them from reaching their goals and aspirations.
I work mostly with ethnic minorities to address acculturation concerns, family adjustment issues, attachment challenges, and trauma. Additionally, I provide treatment for depression, anxiety, stress, work-life balance, and relationships. Furthermore, I conduct psychological evaluations that can be helpful for immigration cases dealing with Extreme Hardship Waivers, VAWA, DACA, U-Visas, and T-Visas.
